Returned a swimsuit that didn't fit and found that i had to pay for return shipping. Received no acknowledgement so contacted them and was told they received it 10 days ago but they're "running behind" in processing refunds. Never again. Asked for an email confirmation that they received it but was told no dice. Instead was given a 25-digit tracking number to use if i checked on it again. Better selection and superior fit and service at Land's End.

Bought a suit from them, the top cost me $90, wore it twice and the underwires both came out. When I contacted them about returning it they said I could not return it because I had washed it. I have contacted them again, but I have a feeling it will go nowhere. I can’t believe how awful their customer service is. I will never shop there again, and will warn everyone I know about them. I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect this suit to last several seasons. I will go back to Lands End, their suits are better quality and their customer service can not be beat.

Don't believe the website about shipping time frame!!!

I ordered my son's swim team suit on October 6. It was a replacement for the first suit I ordered from this website which arrived way, way too small.

I had ordered it based on the chart provided and using a tape measure to measure him. Based on the chart, he should have been right on for that size. So that was the first frustration. I was going to return it, but they make you pay return shipping, so instead I donated the small suit to the team for someone else to use, and ordered him a new one, 2 sizes up.

I chose the 2-6 day shipping because it should have arrived no later than Oct. 12, just in time for their first meet on Saturday. Even if it shipped the next day, it would have arrived Friday. The checkout page said it would arrive by Thursday.

Today is Oct. 11, and I just received a notification from FedEx that it shipped TODAY and won't arrive here until NEXT Wednesday, Oct. 18!!! That's 12 days!!

I've ordered things on eBay that shipped from CHINA and arrived quicker than that!!! Even going from today, that's 7 days, not 2-6. I contacted Customer Support and their excuse is that the order was placed on a Friday, and then there was a holiday, so the warehouse didn't even get to it for 3 days, and then the item was "shipped" on the 10th but really that means it would go out on next day on the 11th. WTF!!!!

She didn't try to do anything to make up for it either. She didn't offer a refund, didn't try to send a new swimsuit on 1-2 day shipping so it would get here in time. I would have taken anything.

But no, my son will be without a team suit for his first swim meet, through no fault of mine (first order was placed Sept. 11!) I will be avoiding this website from now on.

Here's the reply from their return department after a week of radio silence and several followups. These pants split on my first ride - clearly defective. But I guess its my fault for trying out my size before ordering a larger size to compensate for a defective product. "Thank you for contacting SwimOutlet.com! I am sorry to hear that the seam split on the Louis Garneau Men's Pro 9.25 Carbon Tri Shorts - Red/Black - Large you ordered. I also understand that you feel you need a size XL as well. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept the Large back for a refund, because it seems to be more of a sizing issue than defective merchandise. I hope this information is helpful to you. I ordered a men's speedo size 24. They sent me a 9in by 7in speedo that at most stretches to a 20in.

waist when in their sizing chart it clearly stated that a 24 will fit a 24-26 in waist. I have multiple places in my account and on the paperwork they sent me that state it is a returnable item yet Swim Outlet refuses to allow me to return it. They acknowledge that they may have made the wrong size but regardless they refuse to remake my order or refund my payment.

While chatting with customer service I was disconnected and told they had technical issues. Likely they just did not want to accept accountability.

Issue 1 - description of item did not match item Issue 2 - return authorization was "pending" for 11 days until I called to follow up Issue 3 - when providing some friendly feedback by phone, Swimoutlet customer service woman hung up on me Issue 4 - when completing a feedback form on Swimoutlet's site, it was not accepted and I received an email to "hit back button then resubmit your form". Poor site construction or intentional lack of functionality, the result is the same. SWIMOUTLET SUCKS! The money you think you're saving, you will end up spending in returns and in the wasted time. Save yourself the time and money and shop somewhere else.

I ordered two pair of pool shoes from swimoutlet in middle of November. By the middle of December they still had not arrived. Each time I tracked I got the same answer, the shoes made it through three states in the first two days,then got lost in Colorado. Apparently they ship part way with FedEx then it goes the rest of the way by postal service. So I get a hold of them they only have one pairin stock. The new pair arrives in two days. Very happy . For a week maybe two, the shoe breaks,I can't wear them.Now the return nightmare. I have no way to print a label so they mail me one. Five dollars to ship out of my pocket. Now the return shoes are lost. Post office says pkg handed to return agent, and no more info should be expected. This was the first and last time I will buy anything on line. Should have saved time and stress and just flushed fifty bucks down the toilet.

The delivery times are way off, so if you have a time window you are looking at to get your items, order way in advance. If you have a return, know that you will NOT get all of your money back.

Also, you will need to pay for shipping both ways if you need to return. If you contact customer service, they are useless and unhelpful!!! My advice, look for your item elsewhere (Amazon)... If you plan on buying without a time frame and going to keep whatever you order no matter what- great.

But, not me.. this was beyond disappointing :( They say 2-6 business days for delivery, but not true. They also make you think that delivery is through Fed Ex, but in the end, it ends up in USPS hands. I do not trust my mailman..

made me feel like I did something wrong by asking to waive the return shipping fee.

Imagine that, actually asking for some customer service! Nope, not coming back to Swim outlet ever again and neither will my swim team.

Rip-off on returns

I have been engaged in a months-long issue with this company regarding a return. It's just been a huge run-around.

Their return process is ridiculous and not well explained. I acquired a RA# and put a print-out of that with a copy of my original order in the box and shipped it USPS. They claim they have no way of tracking a return unless a tracking # is given, but this is not clearly stated in the return instructions, and in fact is only "recommended" there, not posted prominently as REQUIRED. Since i shipped using metered mail from my office, there is no tracking number.

But the bigger question is how can they claim not to be able to track a return that has an RA# supplied by them? They have wasted so much of my time, and even my credit card company (AmEx), who offered a promotion for this vendor, has not been able to get any resolution.

I will NEVER buy from this company again and I am also going to cancel my AmEx card and will NEVER use AmEx again. STAY AWAY!

So the bad customer service company issues just get worse. I waited for a customer service person for 20 minutes because I followed their procedure for returns exactly on 8-3-16.

They claim the package is still not there. Unbelievable-I have never had these issues with any on line company and I order all the time.

They also are refusing to credit me for original shipping even tho the items were not as pictures and one was damaged!! I will never ever buy from them again!!!

No one picks up the phone at Customer Service-they do not accept returns easily and they do not give full refunds!!! I have called and sent many emails and have not heard back yet!! Do not buy here. I also tried live chat and had 10 people in front of me. This company claims to give good service but I do not consider this good service. It seems like many people are unhappy with them. I will never shop here again because it is so difficult to do returns and especially with bathing suits-returns are essential. I do not like doing business with bad companies-they claim to be the #1 online bathing suit company???

I don't know who you dealt with but yesterday I received only the jacket to a warm up suit I bought my son and immediately called customer service. I spoke to a man named Jason who told me he would check with the distribution center and get back to me with in 24hrs.

I got off the phone with him about 10 minutes ago and he gave me the option of full store credit for the suit (about 50.00) or a discount on a set of pants; he even gave me his email so that I could contact him directly when I've made my decision. You don't find customer service like that very often nowadays.
